The first in the family

Along is getting married tomorrow. Since we're on the groom side, there's nothing much to do this week. Tapi semalam we had kenduri doa selamat (which made me questioned, kenapa buat kenduri doa selamat tapi belum selamat kahwin pun lagi? heh)

Emi is not here and I can tell everyone is missing him. Asyraf, the young cousin asked, 'mana yang baju biru tu?' Referring to Emi in the family picture. Heh

Along just got back from Kemaman last night, just before the kenduri started. I got home right before maghrib.

I remember the first time Along talked about his decision on getting married. We were all shocked. I must admit that I was overwhelmed and cried that night (pls dun ask me why). I called Intan, Icah and even Nani for advice. Maybe because we haven't seen each other for years and learning that news is kinda shocking for me. And that's the thing with me, I seldom see us as adults. I always have this picture of me and my siblings playing around and getting fight with each other.(macam la sekarang tak buat mende2 tu lagi kan? haha)

But well, time flies. Along is now a MO at Kemaman, Icah is finishing her studies in Nutrition, Emi is miles away in Canada. Even TokWan, Wan and Ayah Cau are far beyond time and space. Things changed, so are we.

It's gonna be a bitter sweet experience. Surely I'm gonna be happy bila semua dah selamat and Along is married, but at the same time.. things are not the same.. i guess? Since Along and our future Kakak in law are not really 'bercinta', I don't know what to expect, I just pray for the best.

And on top of all, I got an assignment deadline on Monday. Urggghhhhh!!!!
